It’s Apprenticeship Time!

Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for 3rd and 4th year students to work in a real live newsroom!

There are spots at the Citizen, CBC, CTV, and many more. The application isn’t too difficult and the reward is more than worth it.

The School is organizing a couple info sessions (see below) and the website is filed with info.

With the fall term about to start, don’t forget to check out the apprenticeship placements that are available this year through the School of Journalism.

You can find placement postings on our new and improved website

The postings will give you important information about available dates and special application requirements.

You must use your login to view these placements.  BJ3’s, MJ1’s and MJ2’s (direct entry) have received login and password information within the last couple of days.  BJ4’s and MJ2’s your current account remains valid.

Don’t forget to sign-up for one of the Apprenticeships Information Sessions

BJ3/BJ4/MJ2s Apprenticeships Information Session (choose from one of the two offered):

Session One:   Tuesday September 15, 2009              Time:   10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Session Two:   Tuesday September 15, 2009              Time:   2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Both sessions will be held in the Resource Centre, Room 102 St. Patrick’s Building.

Deadline for registration is Friday, September 11.

Due to seating restrictions, please email Cindy Kardash-Lalonde at j-apprenticeships@carleton.ca to let her know which session you plan to attend.
